Asher also provides the ability to quickly reach unscheduled employees to fill shift absences. Finally, our Hyper-Reach service suite provides a secure, easy and rapid process for companies to get information to employees and other constituents with impact and in minutes, regardless of team size.
Meet the Team
Sam Asher
President of the Asher Group
Sam founded Sam Asher Computing Services in 1995 and has led the company from the start-up stage as a provider of software solutions to its current identity as the Asher Group, a multi-division company offering IT consulting/programming solutions and custom Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems. Sam has over 20 years of experience as a software engineer, programmer and lead project manager for a wide variety of complex database and network development projects. Sam Asher has a BA in Computer Science from the University of Rochester and has his MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.
Russ Bell
Vice President, Sales
Russ is an experienced mechanical design engineer and management professional. However, his strongest ability is in developing solid business relationships with Asher Group clients. Russ has built the sales portion of the powerful Hyper-Reach brand around the United States for the last ten years, one client at a time, with his ability to understand emergency notification needs and to follow through on every project without fail. Treating each customer like a trusted friend over the years, Russ has provided an unsurpassed level of customer service for the Hyper-Reach program and built a network of highly satisfied emergency directors, police captains, corporate executives, security managers and school/ church officials.
Jim Veilleux
Vice President, Marketing
Jim is both an experienced marketer and an entreprenuer in his own right in the tech field. Before coming to Asher, Jim was the CEO and one of the founders of VoiceLog, a pioneer in automated third party verification, as well as VirtualLogger, a leader in coud-based call recording for call centers. Jim has more than 35 years of business experience, including assignments at MCI, Sprint and Verizon. He has an MBA from Pace University. Jim has been at Asher since 2012.
Tim Oertel
Chief Scientist
With over 25 years in software development, Tim is primarily responsible for designing all major aspects of our highly scalable system architecture. Tim strives for elegance and efficiency under-the-hood, while the UI/UX goal is to help the user be as productive as possible with the least amount of training necessary. He takes a special interest in artificial intelligence and game design. Tim earned his BS CS from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1996.
Caitlin Olfano
Engineering Manager
Caitlin has risen through the ranks to serve as our engineering manager at Asher. With a BA cum laude in liberal arts, Caitlin has an impressive ability to organize, communicate and keep many projects and personnel on track. Caitlin has been at Asher for over 10 years.
